in audible: The Baroque Cello Project
a celebration of the hidden, the underheard, the disregarded, the nevernoticed: the sounds, the silences, the stillnesses, and the subtleties of power always present in any act of thinking and making
a unique evolving collaborative project based on the hand-crafting of a Baroque cello
a multi-layered performative sound-led audio/visual installation centering on the cello surrounded by the sounds of its own making
this website follows the project from its start in October 2013, the premiere presentation in autumn 2014, and its further development presented in summer 2015
since the successful completion of Part II funding has been sought to continue the project with developments that would incorporate cutting edge digital technology - cutting edge tech from three centuries ago playing with cutting edge tech from today
unfortunately this has been unsuccessful
despite support from an arts venue
we remain optimistic that the project will continue in the future
