LAURA MOY:
The Rehearsal Space                                                                                                                                             June 2015

Picture
when there is too much noise / movement, in the world / my head, I find I have shut my eyes
    to find stillness.

silence between two people in a room
    can be so loud.
    ...knowing how to break it

    power of silence...
to walk into a big, silent room...
who dares to break the silence...
it is big... present... louder than loud

in silence... so much to be heard    in stillness so much to be seen / felt.

Stillness = calm
When mind stills from its whirring.
No excess or unnecessary movement.
What is essential, basic, the bones.
We are never still.
But how still can we be...
Internal processes of body... continual... blood rushing through...every system...breathing - whole body.
Signals transmitted.
Stillness found in observing.  In giving focus.
To not disturb the air.
So many sounds from the body as it moves - my body moving - I hear breath, bones cracking, limbs moving
through air & across floor...

The longer we listen to silence the more we hear...

Mornings in silence... best thing
